History
Breezdon Kennel was established in 1983 by Henriette Hansen and Vidar
Granum. Sadly, Vidar passed away on 22nd April 1999 after a four month
battle against cancer. His knowledge and input was of paramount importance
to the progress and success we achieved during these years. It was hard
to be left alone to carry on with the breeding of our collies but I hope
to be able to continue the work which Vidar and I started.

Kaywell Breezy
Babe of Geoffdon |
It all startet on 24th January 1983 when our
English import Kaywell Breezy Babe of Geoffdon whelped her first and, unfortunately,
last litter, BUT what a start she gave us! From this litter by Int SF NCh
Geoffdon Jonathan came NCh Breezdon Another Ace and Int NCh Breezdon As
You Like It Babe, both of whom we retained. "Babe" became one
of the most outstanding winners the breed has ever seen in Norway. Amongst
her credits she could count a Group win at the Norwegian Kennel Club's Ch
Show in Bergen in 1987 where the breed judge Benny Blid wrote the following
about her: "Fulfils all my expectations about what this breed should
look like". |
The collie specialist Helge Lie wrote the following about "Babe"
after the Norwegian Collie Club's Ch show in 1987: "To look at this
bitch in profile is for me to experience what the correct collie should
look like. She has length both in neck and body, her beautiful expression
and wonderful coat puts the icing on the cake and you have a specimen which
can be the aim for the continued progress of the breed".
